Last year, I met Brian Walmsley who runs a social enterprise called Fairgift, the fair trade gift & wedding list service. Fairgift works with artists & craftspeople in Africa, Asia & Latin America to create stylish & quality homeware for couples in the UK.
The products are predominantly handmade in small quantities, so it makes a highly original wedding list. And because the products are made by skilled artisans who have a real stake in what they are doing, it is also a great way to ensure superior quality. They have a showroom near Henley-on-Thames.
