Raj Tent Company

If you are looking at having an outdoor wedding or want to create a separate space inside, one idea would be to use a beautiful tent from the Raj Tent Company. If you want to create a chillout area or space within another space or large venue, their tents and furniture would be ideal.

Sweet Buffets

One idea that we are using at weddings this summer is a Sweet Buffet. Make a statement with the dessert buffet and mix it up with sweets, candies, profiterole towers and foil wrapped chocolates all in keeping with the colour scheme. Have this available in the evening after the main meal so that guests can have something to nibble on during the evening.

The queen of Sweet Buffets has to be Amy Atlas in the US. Here are a couple of her dessert buffets:

Australian Inspiration

One company that always inspires me is Angels Dreaming in Australia. They do beautiful stationery and also theming via The Style Salon. I used them back in 2006 to create my own invitations and wedding stationery when I got married. They have a showroom in Sydney but also do wedding stationery for overseas weddings.

Fusion Wedding Outfits

We often work with brides that are looking for a designer to create an outfit that is a mix of two cultures. One specialist designer that can design and create an outfit that is a fusion of Asian and Western styles is Ami-London (http://www.ami-london.com/). She designed a fabulous gold outfit for one of our clients last summer. Our client said that "She was really easy to get on with and had a good sense of what I wanted".

Here are a few of her designs for 2009:

Inspiration - Country Living Magazine Spring Fair

I visited the Country Living Magazine Spring Fair on Friday at the Business Design Centre on Islington. The show was full of inspiration with all things country inspired - perfect for marquee weddings with bunting and long tables with seating.

Here are a few of my favourite finds:

A Wire Card/Memo Holder in the shape of a Heart that holds 18 cards. Two or three of these would be a perfect way to display your seating plan from Flutterbyes.

Mini Hanging Heart with Bubble Votive from Nature's Harvest. Would be perfect for hanging in trees outside where guests could relax and chill out in the evening.

Stunning jewellery and accessories from Ginta Siceva. Perfect for bridesmaids that are wearing black dresses and the jewellery can be made in a range of colours.

Honeymoon Locations

One stunning hotel and location that I visited was the Chedi in Chiang Mai in Thailand. The perfect place for a honeymoon.

It had some lovely features such as this sunken pool with floating flowers:

The pool with a river setting:

The bedrooms and suites looked out onto a large water feature:

Thai Inspiration

I have just returned from an amazing two week holiday to Thailand. I was snapping away as there was plenty of inspirational scenery and ideas that could be incorporated in weddings and themed events.

Here are a few of my favourite ideas:

Eastern style table settings with lotus flowers - use lotus flowers to decorate napkins and leaf shaped crockery:

Attach a touch of modern glamour with Bubble Tubes - would look great in a bar/chill out area and can be set to change colour or coordinate with your colour scheme:

Tree Trunks - use natural objects such as a tree trunk and decorate. Place two on either side of door to the ceremony room:
