Inspiration - Country Living Magazine Spring Fair

I visited the Country Living Magazine Spring Fair on Friday at the Business Design Centre on Islington. The show was full of inspiration with all things country inspired - perfect for marquee weddings with bunting and long tables with seating.

Here are a few of my favourite finds:

A Wire Card/Memo Holder in the shape of a Heart that holds 18 cards. Two or three of these would be a perfect way to display your seating plan from Flutterbyes.

Mini Hanging Heart with Bubble Votive from Nature's Harvest. Would be perfect for hanging in trees outside where guests could relax and chill out in the evening.

Stunning jewellery and accessories from Ginta Siceva. Perfect for bridesmaids that are wearing black dresses and the jewellery can be made in a range of colours.

Honeymoon Locations

One stunning hotel and location that I visited was the Chedi in Chiang Mai in Thailand. The perfect place for a honeymoon.

It had some lovely features such as this sunken pool with floating flowers:

The pool with a river setting:

The bedrooms and suites looked out onto a large water feature:

The restaurant with outside dinning:

Thai Inspiration

I have just returned from an amazing two week holiday to Thailand. I was snapping away as there was plenty of inspirational scenery and ideas that could be incorporated in weddings and themed events.

Here are a few of my favourite ideas:

Eastern style table settings with lotus flowers - use lotus flowers to decorate napkins and leaf shaped crockery:

Attach a touch of modern glamour with Bubble Tubes - would look great in a bar/chill out area and can be set to change colour or coordinate with your colour scheme:

Tree Trunks - use natural objects such as a tree trunk and decorate. Place two on either side of door to the ceremony room:

Hen's Weekend

We often get clients that are looking for a hen weekend idea that can include friends, relatives, mothers of the bride and groom, aunts and grandmothers. How about organising a Pink Afternoon Tea at the Athenaeum in Mayfair, London for all your close female friends and family? I was there last week for a friend's birthday. The lounge area is stylishly furnished and you could easily while away a few hours there. Afternoon tea starts from £26.50 and includes sandwiches, freshly baked scones, toasted crumpets, tea cakes and cakes. The cake selection is served from a tempting dessert cart that includes a range of cakes, biscuits and pastries. They will also serve glasses of Kir Royale to start the tea party!

Winter Weddings

We organised a beautiful wedding in December for Julie and Andrew at Knightley Court at Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire. The wedding started at 4pm in the afternoon with civil ceremony followed by mincepies and glasses of mulled wine to keep the guests warm. They sat down to dinner in the Saunders Room which was decorated in reds and greens. The guests then danced to a live band. The guests were lovely and it was a pleasure to be involved with their wedding. It was lovely to see the whole wedding come together after 15 months of planning. Meyer and Rene from M&R Photography were there to capture the day and produced some stunning photos. A selection are below:

Inspiration - Outdoor Bunting for Weddings

I recently came across a company that designs, makes and hires out bunting for wedding and events called The Big Beautiful Bunting Company. They have a range of designs including a lovely silk heart shaped pendant - perfect for a Valentine's Day inspired event
and also some that would look great at a marquee country inspired wedding.
